We stayed at the park in 2008. It was not FREE, or $10. The cost was $22 a day PLUS a daily park charge of $7 on top of that. We felt the daily charge of $7 was unjustified. They stated the fee was a day user fee, even if you had an RV and paid the $22 a day to stay. It was a very nice park, big rig frendly but keep an eye out for tree branchs. We would stay again. Would like the daily park user fee dropped for RV's staying over night or more.

Really nice park, quiet, LARGE sites w/ excellet access. Located about 25mi s of Denver. Denver has lots--Coors brewery, US Mint and Celestial tea factory tours. Visit 16 street Mall-downtown for lots of shops. Parking is scarce w/ $$ for park. Free bus rides on 16th street mall.

Chatfield State Park cost $22.00 a night and daily enterance fee of $7.00. This is still a great place to camp. It has all the ammendities.

Chatfield State Park Charges $22 a night for camping plus $7 a day for each vehicle. It's a nice campground, except for the goat head puncture vines, but it isn't even close to being cheap, let alone free.

Chatfield State Park may be $10.00 for day use but almost $30.00 a night for a full hook-up site. There are more than 200.
