Description
Several sites are listed for BLM, but this one is about 2 miles north of Quartzsite, close if you're traveling Interstate 10. It's right off the paved road with a camp host. Need to register, but it's FREE. It's beautiful if you like desert country.

The Bouse community park has a dump station but they charge $10 and the guy is never there it seems. It has a very nice men and womens bathroom. A great BBQ area too. You can get water there but I don't know if they charge for H20. Water is getting scarce out here in the desert and it is dangerous to drink any water that is not treated by Reverse Osmosis. Arsenic is a problem so don't take a chance. Arsenic stays in your body and accumelates in your body. Get enough and you are dead.

If you just stay a couple days, it's free. We were there last weekend for two nights, and the host said we didn't need to register or pay.

Thanks, would be nice if you provide directions and more info, like go north on 95 for two miles from Quartzsite. The Hi Jolly BLM Camping Area is on your right. 14 day limit. Go another mile or so north, you'll see a sign for Plomosa Road. Take a right on Plomosa Road and bingo you're in the Plomosa BLM Camping Area. 14 day limit just like HiJolly. Don't like that one continue east on Plomosa Road for about ten miles or so over the small pass and bingo you're in another BLM 14 day limit camping area. After 14 days you have to move at least 25 miles into another area. If you don't like that area, keep going and about one mile from Bouse is the Bouse Community Park that has water and electric hookups for a fee.
