Description
The dam campground made by the Army Corps of Engineers is free ONLY during the winter with limited facilities, but right on the river. We hope to be camping there in the next week or so. Only about 8 miles north of Scottsville. Pit toilets but no water/electric in winter. 270-465-4463

We have stayed at this park several times. It has close to 50 sites. It is free after the regular season ends around September 18th. Very nice area with friendly people.

The official name of this campground is tailwater recreation area. It's an awesome campground and very peaceful--has much more than 10 sites--we had a wonderful time and may go back on our way out of here. I have pics, but it's too cold to find them tonite!
