Our readers write with their free camping and boondocking experiences
We receive a lot of unsolicited mail from readers, who tell of their free camping and boondocking experiences. It's often impossible to find a place at FreeCampgrounds.com where their comments should fit. And so we present them here pretty much as we received them. As with the rest of our site, we can't vouch for the information -- we trust these folks know what they are talking about. In any event, here are some of the letters we have received at FreeCampgrounds.com or through our FreeCampgrounds Club at Yahoo.
LETTER FROM OUR READERS:
Anna tells of her 14-day trip boondocking in California, Arizona, Nevada, Oregon and Utah. She paid for a few campgrounds, but most often stayed for free.
Lee tells about free camping in the Santa Barbara/Malibu, Calif., area.
Donald Wassum offers twelve common sense rules that free campers should follow.
A new RVer tells of his free camping experiences on a long trip and urges campground owners to take notice.
When this reader needs a convenient place to get a night's sleep, free sites work well. And saving $10 to $30 a night ain't bad either.
A big dog is a great security guard when camping in non-official campsites, says this reader.
We invite your contributions. E-mail them to Chuck Woodbury at outwest@seanet.com.
